The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has recognized the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for its well-organized and professionally executed 59th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation for the Asia and Pacific Region (DGCA).
The event took place from October 14 to 18 at Dusit Thani in Mactan, Cebu.
ICAO Regional Director Tao Ma expressed his gratitude to the entire CAAP team for their warm hospitality, which significantly contributed to a highly productive conference and fostered new and renewed partnerships.
“Organizing and conducting the Conference to such a high standard is not easy and was only made possible by the dedication of your team, who worked tirelessly for many months before and during the Conference,” Tao Ma remarked.
ICAO President of the Council, Salvatore Sciacchitano, along with Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar, also expressed appreciation for the support provided by Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista.
“The CAAP and the DOTr appreciate the invaluable support of the International Civil Aviation Organization in the success of this conference. I hope that we have provided you with the most significant conference experience so far,” stated CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo.
