Blvck Entertainment Production, Inc. and Blvck Music release the new digital album of Kritiko (real name John Edixon) entitled “Bounce.”
Kritiko’s first foray into mainstream music was via the “Himig Handog” songwriting competition in 2018 where he won 3rd place for his entry “Kababata.”
This achievement opened big opportunities for him like collaborations with known artists such as KZ (“Raise Your Flag”), Ogie Alcasid and Inigo Pascual (“Do You Wanna Dance with Me”) and Loisa Andalio (“Salamat Sa”).
In 2019, he was featured in a Christmas single “Kay Sayang Pasko Na Naman” with Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis which was used as a theme for the movie “The Mall The Merrier.”
Kritiko’s talent as a songwriter and rap artist was quickly recognized by music award giving bodies such as the Awit Awards in 2019 where he was given the Best Rap/ Hiphop Recording finalist for “Kababata,” Best Inspirational Song nominee for “Raise Your Flag” and Best Rap Artist nominee.
In 2021 he won 4th Best Song in “Himig Handog 11th Edition” for “Ang Hirap Maging Mahirap” (with Davey Langit) and nominated in MOR Awards for New Male Artist of the Year and Song of the year for “Salamat Sa” (featuring Loisa Andalio).
This year, Kritiko is making a comeback with his new digital album “Bounce” now under the record label Blvck Music. He is also currently managed by Blvck Entertainment Production, Inc. owned by entrepreneurs and engineers Grace and Louie Cristobal.
His carrier single “Bounce” is a song about friendship and loyalty, a shoutout to one’s life companions who stick around through thick and thin.
Other songs in the digital album are “315 (Ti_l I Found),’ “Isigaw Mo Lang,” “Palaisipan,” “‘Di Nawala” (featuring Yhanzy) and “Balang Araw” (featuring Yhanzy).
Kritiko, who wrote all the songs in his new digital album, describes his present work as a balance of positive and negative and sends out a message of overcoming the struggles and challenges to fulfill one’s dreams and aspirations. This is evidently represented in his album cover art.
“Bounce” the digital album is now out on music streaming platforms. “Bounce” the music video, directed by Louie Ong, can also be streamed through YouTube.
