The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has suspended bus trips going to and from the Bicol Region ahead of the expected landfall of Super Typhoon Pepito.
In an advisory, LTFRB said the suspension of bus travel to Bicol was made “for the prevention of the buildup of stranded passengers and vehicles along Maharlika Highway and other major roads in the areas that will be affected by the storm.”
“Please wait for further notice from the LTFRB before resuming normal operations,” it added.
The public land transport regulator also discouraged land travel by buses and trucks to Central Luzon, the National Capital Region, and CALABARZON as precaution for the possible effects of Pepito.
