Palace appoints Fadullon as prosecutor general

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed prosecutor Richard Fadullon as prosecutor general of the National Prosecution Service (NPS), Malacañang confirmed on Monday.

His appointment paper, addressed to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, was dated October 30, 2024.

Fadullon replaced former prosecutor general Benedicto Malcontento, who stepped down last month after five years of service.

Fadullon served as a senior deputy state prosecutor for several years.

He had been with the Department of Justice since April 1994.
