MANILA, Philippines — If the elections were today, reelectionist Pasay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano will win the city’s mayoral race.
Based on a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, Calixto-Rubiano received a commanding lead over her lone opponent in the May 2025 midterm elections.
The SWS poll conducted from Oct. 26 to 30 found Calixto-Rubiano getting voter preference of 79 percent.
Her rival, Edith Manguera, received 13 percent voter preference. Eight percent of the respondents remained undecided.
The strong public support for Calixto-Rubiano was attributed to her leadership and vision for Pasay, according to the survey.
She is seeking her third term with the flagship campaign “Tapat na paglilingkod” or honest service to the people.
The SWS is a non-profit and non-partisan research group using a reliable method to gather data about public opinion and social trends in the country.
