The Philippine Army personnel celebrated the 34th Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Code of Conduct Day by reaffirming their pledge of allegiance.
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Leodevic Guinid led the activity, reminding Army officers and enlisted personnel to uphold the AFP’s core values of honor, service, and patriotism.
“In these challenging times, I enjoin everybody to commit ourselves to the glory of God, the honor of our country, and service to the Filipino people,” he remarked.
AFP Chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. stated that the AFP Code of Conduct is more than just a set of guidelines.
“It is the very foundation of who we are as soldiers and as stewards of our nation,” he said.
Brawner emphasized that this conduct connects soldiers to their roles and responsibilities, as well as to the proud legacy left by those who served before them.
“As we honor 34 years of this code, we reaffirm its vital role in guiding our actions and decisions both in and out of uniform,” he added.
