The BFP said that despite their prompt action, firefighters and volunteers faced significant challenges due to the narrow entrance to the fire site, which could only accommodate one person at a time.

It said the victims were members of two families residing in the building.

The second floor, constructed with wooden materials, collapsed during the incident, exacerbating the tragedy. Three bodies were recovered from the second floor, while the others were found on the ground floor.

Authorities are investigating the fire’s cause, with initial findings pointing to a potential electrical wiring problem.
