AirAsia Philippines on Thursday said that it was ready to accommodate over 300,000 passengers during the peak holiday season, or from December 16, 2024, to January 6, 2025.

It reported a load factor of over 80 percent and anticipated a significant surge in bookings as Filipinos make last-minute plans to reunite with loved ones for the holidays.

“We expect a significant surge in guest volume this week as many of our kababayans are making last-minute bookings on their holiday plans,” AirAsia Philippines communications and public affairs head Steve Dailisan said.

“While we recognize the excitement that comes with finalizing travel arrangements, we encourage our guests to book flights early as ticket fares increase closer to the travel date,” he added.

“This time is also a good opportunity to secure your return flights in advance for after the holidays as flights will fill up quickly after Christmas.”
