MANILA, Philippines — China Bank Savings (CBS) is ramping up its aggressive expansion in the provinces particularly in Visayas and Mindanao.
The country’s second-largest thrift bank opened a new branch in Panabo City, Davao del Norte and the upgraded CBS Davao-Toril branch in a new location in the G Mall of Toril on Nov. 7 and 8.
Last Nov. 18, it also opened a new branch at the South Coast Center in Talisay City, Cebu.
CBS now have 73 branches, automatic payroll deduction system (APD) lending centers and branch-lites in Visayas and Mindanao. This includes 38 branches in Visayas and 35 in Mindanao.
CBS president James Christian Dee led the opening of new branches in Visayas and Mindanao.
“We continue to celebrate CBS’ growth in the VisMin region as we unveil these new, more optimized spaces designed to better serve our clients and partners. The VisMin region has a lot to offer the Filipino community – with its wide range of agricultural products, rich cultural heritage and famous tourist destinations, it is a vital part of the business industry,” Dee said.

The retail-banking arm of China Banking Corp. has a network of 170 branches, more than 100 APD lending centers and branch-lites and 216 ATMs nationwide.
