CONTECON Guayaquil (CGSA), Ecuador’s leading port and a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), has rejoined the Asia-South America (ASA) service, restoring its connection to five major shipping lines.

The agreement brings Wan Hai, Pacific International Lines, Cosco, Evergreen, and Yang Ming back to the terminal. The ASA service was previously called at Contecon Guayaquil until 2015, with operations resuming in the first week of November.

The renewed ASA service is expected to enhance logistics efficiency for key Ecuadorian exports. Contecon Guayaquil’s reintegration into the ASA service underscores its operational reliability and the confidence global shipping lines place in its capabilities.
