BUREAU of Customs (BoC) operatives and personnel of other agencies confiscated 2.05 kilograms of methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy, worth over P1.161 million at the Port of Clark.
The narcotics, declared as “central heating boiler,” originated from Germany and arrived in the country on Dec. 4, the BoC said over the weekend.
The hidden drugs were initially detected by X-ray and confirmed by a K-9 sniff test.

The joint operation involved the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation and barangay officials of Dau, Mabalacat City.
“This latest successful interception underscores our determination to safeguard our borders and uphold the safety of our citizens. We remain resolute in collaborating with partner agencies to detect and neutralize threats, such as ecstasy, that jeopardize the well-being of our nation,” said Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio.
