“Seafarers are the backbone of our global economy, sacrificing time with their families to ensure a better future. By partnering with SeaFam, we are helping them prioritize their health without breaking the bank. Beyond discounts on multivitamins and maintenance medicines, this partnership allows us to strengthen our advocacy of providing free medicines to underserved communities, including senior citizens who need them most,” Rico and Tesa Geronimo, founders of Communiserve, added.

SeaFam and Communiserve’s partnership recognizes that access to cheaper medicines goes beyond convenience but about saving lives, ensuring long-term wellness, and easing financial pressures on seafarers who already endure so much for their loved ones.

The services will initially be available in the National Capital Region and are poised to expand nationwide to bring much-needed relief to seafarer families nationwide.

The agreement signing was attended by SeaFam Vice President Glenn Mark Blasquez, CF Sharp CEO Miguel Rocha, SeaFam National Secretary Carmela Magpantay, and SeaFam seafarers’ wives volunteers Sarah Marave, Russel Agustin and Blessilda Bayot.

Seafam International is a nongovernment organization that provides support and social services to seafarers and their families. Rocha established the group to empower seafarers’ wives, regardless of the manning company their husbands worked for. It is guided by its mission to uplift the lives of Filipino seafarers and its vision of fostering thriving, secure families views affordable health care as a critical lifeline.
