Erwin, Ben Tulfo, Tito Sotto top OCTA’s latest senatorial survey

Brothers Erwin and Ben Tulfo and former Senate president Vicente “Tito” Sotto III maintain their lead in the OCTA Research’s senatorial preference survey for the last quarter of 2024.

OCTA’s latest Tugon ng Masa survey showed that ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo maintained the top lead after gaining 73% preference which is 13% higher compared to the third quarter survey of the independent body.

Sharing the second to third spots are Erwin’s brother Ben Tulfo, and Sotto, who got 66% and 63%, respectively.

During the conduct of the survey, preference for Ben Tulfo increased by 9% compared to OCTA’s third quarter survey while Sotto gained 13%.

Tied in the fourth to seventh spots are reelectionist Senators Bong Go (52%), Bong Revilla Jr. (49%), and Pia Cayetano (49%).

They were followed by former senator Ping Lacson with 47% preference landing on the fourth to eighth spot, reelectionist Senator Imee Marcos with 41% and landing on the seventh to 10th spot, former senator Manny Pacquiao with 38% and landing on eighth to 11th spot.

The ranking was followed by two other reelectionists, Senator Lito Lapid who got the eighth to thirteenth spot with 36% and Senator Francis Tolentino  who landed on the ninth to 17th spot with 32%.

Tied in completing the top 12 were former Interior secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. and Makati City Mayor Abby Binay who both got 30% and landed on the 10th to 18th spot in the ranking.

Following them were Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar with 29%, TV host Willie Revillame with 28%, former senator Gringo Honasan with 27%, reelectionist Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa with 26%, and former senator Kiko Pangilinan with 25%.

The survey was conducted from November 10 to 16, 2024 where the respondents were asked “If the May 2025 elections will be held today, who will you likely to vote for as Senator? You may choose up to 12 names.”

The survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews on 1,200 adult male and female respondents.

The survey has a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
