MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Francis Escudero firmly said the services and operations of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) should not be affected even if the national government did not provide a subsidy next year.
Escudero said that PhilHealth had P600 billion in reserves and surplus funds at the end of this year, so it did not need a subsidy.
