MANILA, Philippines — Four people were injured after a fire struck a commercial building in Cubao, Quezon City yesterday.
The victims – two women and two men – were treated by emergency medical responders for smoke inhalation, the Philippine Red Cross Quezon City chapter said.
The building, formerly known as the ACT Theater, is situated at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and EDSA in Barangay Socorro. Several “ukay-ukay” stores on the building’s first floor were razed by fire.
Eighteen firetrucks responded to the scene.
Arson probers said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.
