SEN. Bong Go emerged as the most popular senatorial candidate in next year’s midterm elections based on the results of two nationwide surveys.
In Publicus Asia Inc.’s Pahayag 2024 End-of-the-Year Survey, conducted from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, Go topped the unaided voting preference category among senatorial aspirants while emerging fourth in the aided voting preference category, a notch higher than his fifth-place finish in October.
In the October Publicus Pahayag 2025 survey, Go topped the unaided preference test while receiving a significant 35 percent of voter preference in the aided category.
Go maintained a solid fifth-place position, getting 46.5 percent of voter preference in the Pulso ng Pilipino Fourth Quarter Pre-Poll Survey conducted from Nov. 5 to Dec. 1.
In the Tangere survey conducted from Nov. 6 to 9, Go finished third, receiving a solid 50.13 percent of voter preference.
Earlier surveys reflected Go’s consistent popularity. In the September 2024 Pulse Asia survey, Go ranked between fourth and ninth place, receiving 40.3 percent of voter preference.
Go was in third and sixth place, getting 49 percent of voter preference in the August survey conducted by OCTA Research.
Nicknamed “Mr. Malasakit” (Mr. Care), Go was known for his advocacy of bringing accessible health care and livelihood programs to indigent Filipinos.
