Four weather systems continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
Weather specialist Benison Estarejasaid the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), where winds from the southern and northern hemispheres meet, brought cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in some areas in Mindanao, Visayas and in Palawan.
The shear line, an imaginary line where the hot and cold air converge, is bringing scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms in Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
Areas in Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have overcast skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will likely have isolated downpours or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms, it added.
