A man in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu was nabbed for the alleged online sexual exploitation of  three minors, including a one-month old infant.

According to a 24 Oras report by Fe Marie Dumaboc on Tuesday, the 33-year-old suspect was arrested after US Homeland Security said he had been selling cyber pornography of his twin eight-year-old nieces and a one-month old baby to foreigners for more than a year.

Authorities said they seized several sex toys and three mobile phones containing pornographic videos of the children from the suspect.

The National Bureau of Investigation is also considering the possibility that the victims’ parents were aware of the said crimes.

“Our children are not merchandise whether online or offline. Let us protect our children. Second key point is that it takes a village to take care of our children so the community must get involved to stop this kind of criminality, this type of savagery,” said NBI-CEVRO Agent-on-Case Maria Contessa Lastimoso.

The suspect denied the allegations after his arrest.

The victims have been turned over to social workers.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
