MANILA, Philippines — Shabu and dried marijuana leaves with a combined value of P30.84 million were seized in separate anti-narcotics operations in Cebu and Laguna on Friday.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated 3.02 kilos of shabu worth about P20.53 million from a couple in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City.
The suspects, identified as Raymund Jorge, 33, and his partner, Joana Gallado, 33, were collared after they allegedly sold an undetermined amount of shabu to an undercover agent along Gaisano street at around 10:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, a raid on a house of a drug suspect in Lumban, Laguna resulted in the recovery of shabu and marijuana worth about P10.3 million.
The raid, conducted by members of the police Drug Enforcement Group, was covered by a search warrant issued by a local court in Lucena, Quezon.
The raid on the property located along Rana street in Barangay Maytalang I resulted in the arrest of a suspect, identified as alias Karding.
Police said they seized from the suspect 1.51 kilos of shabu and 301 grams of dried marijuana leaves.
Another sting in the nearby town of Pagsanjan resulted in the seizure of 11.7 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P79,560.
Two suspects, identified as alias Puypuy and alias TJ were arrested following the sting in Barangay Binan.
Aside from illegal drugs, police said they seized a handgun from the suspect.
