MANILA, Philippines—Taal Volcano in Batangas province had a minor phreatomagmatic eruption that lasted four minutes on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs director Teresito Bacolcol told The Manila Times that the volcanic burst happened at 5:58 a.m. at its main crater which generated a 2,800-meter grayish plume as captured by Buco Observation Station in the island.
