QCPD to deploy 1,595 cops for Christmas season

MANILA, Philippines — To ensure public safety during the Christmas season, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 1,595 police personnel with 2,363 force multipliers across the city.

According to the QCPD, the deployment will cover 246 strategic locations that include places of worship, malls, markets, bus terminals, MRT and LRT stations, major thoroughfares, firecracker zones and other public gathering areas.

The force multipliers include barangay police, private security agencies, non-government organizations and civilian volunteers. 

These groups, the QCPD said, will work alongside police personnel to boost security efforts.

The QCPD will also be deploying 2,915 pieces of equipment, including motorcycles, mobile patrol cars, ambulances, buses, drones, body-worn cameras and handheld radios.
