SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines — Up to 30 freeport locators were recognized during the recent Mabuhay Business Awards 2024 conducted by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
SBMA chairman and administrator Eduardo Jose Aliño said that of the 1,909 locators, 30 were awarded for their exceptional contributions to the economic development of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone this year.
Aliño said the SBMA Mabuhay Awards aims to commend locators who significantly impacted the domestic economy.
Renato Lee III, SBMA senior deputy administrator for business and investment department, said that locators do not only help improve the Subic Bay Freeport, but also provide employment to 162,891 workers.
“This is why the SBMA holds the Mabuhay Business Awards to recognize our top performing locators. After a rigorous deliberation this year, the SBMA was able to identify the 30 top performing locators,” Lee said.
He said the awardees have delivered quality services and contributed to the sustainable development of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and the neighboring communities.
