MANILA, Philippines — Most areas in Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, an imaginary line where hot and cold air converge, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the same weather system is also affecting MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal), Bicol Region, Eastern and Western Visayas, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over the rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region while Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon would likely have isolated light rains, Pagasa said.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy due to localized thunderstorms.
