The truck driver who fled after the fatal road crash in Katipunan Avenue-Aurora Boulevard flyover was arrested early Friday morning, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.
In a police report, the QCPD said the suspect was captured in a follow-up operation around 1:30 a.m.
Four people were killed and 26 others were injured after the wing van truck driven by the suspect collided with several motorcycles and vehicles around 6:55 p.m. on Thursday.
Two of the fatalities remain unidentified.
A total of 16 motorcycles and five vehicles also incurred damage.
Initial report said that the truck supposedly lost control of its brake causing it to plow through other vehicles.
“All injured victims were brought to different hospitals for medical treatment,” the QCPD said.
