MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star Vice Ganda believes they have a connection with the masses which is why crowds always show up to attend their films.
On their social media accounts, Vice posted a video wherein they bonded with crowds during mall tours to promote their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “And The Breadwinner Is.”
May relasyon. Nagkakaunawaan kami. Nagmamahalan. Iisa ang lenggwahe namin. Iisa ang pulso. Nagkakaintindihan.”
The host-comedian added, “Kaya’t di namin iniiwan ang isa’t isa anuman ang mangyari. Pangmatagalan.”
Vice said that the masses can relate to their film “And The Breadwinner Is” because it is their story.
Vice ended.
At the 2024 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal, “And The Breadwinner Is” won the Gender Sensitivity Award while won Vice was recognized with a Special Jury Citation.
Their citation was for being “a performer who broke the ground and went out of the familiar and comfort zone to prove their growth as an artist and tackled issues relevant to the contemporary society.”
“Tonight, I am seen. With this movie, with this project, I am finally seen. I have been participating at the MMFF for years. This is the first time na meron akong award,” Vice said during their acceptance speech.
