The 27-year-old shared in an Instagram Story on Thursday, Jan. 9, that he and his family, including their pets, were safe.

“Thanks to everyone who’s checked in. Haven’t been able to respond to all the messages. My family evacuated where we live last night, and everyone is safe, including our furry family members,” Pascual wrote.

“Praying and claiming for this to end soon. Sending prayers to everyone in L.A., especially those who lost their homes. If you’re in L.A., please stay alert. The fires just seem to pop out of nowhere,” he continued.

Pascual is currently living in the US for upcoming international acting projects.

Home to Hollywood, Los Angeles has seen several international stars lose their homes, including Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, Jeff Bridges, and R&B star Jhené Aiko. The wildfires have also caused widespread disruptions to entertainment events.

“We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but mostly intact. We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned,” Moore wrote in her Instagram post sharing photos of the devastation in her home.

“We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivors guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks for everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong,” she added.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who was among the stars who evacuated due to the Palisades fire, says she and her family are pledging $1 million to start a “fund of support” for those affected by the blazes burning in and around Los Angeles.

Three awards ceremonies planned for this weekend have been postponed. Next week’s Oscar nominations have been delayed. And tens of thousands of Angelenos are displaced and awaiting word Thursday on whether their homes survived the flames — some of them the city’s most famous denizens.

Thousands of structures have been destroyed but damage assessments are just beginning. More than 180,000 people are also under evacuation orders in the metropolitan area, from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena, a number that continues to shift as new fires erupt.

Late Wednesday, a fire in the Hollywood Hills was scorching the hills near the famed Hollywood Bowl and Dolby Theatre, which is the home of the Academy Awards. That fire had been largely contained without damage to Hollywood landmarks. WITH REPORT FROM AP
