AKBAYAN on Friday said the recently signed national budget or the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for 2025 “reveals the persistent rot in traditional politics, prioritizing elite interests over the Filipino people’s welfare.”
“The General Appropriations Act (GAA) reflects glaring misallocations, slashing critical funding for education, health, transportation, agriculture, and climate action. Education, a constitutional priority, has once again been sidelined, raising serious questions about the budget’s constitutionality and its failure to serve the public good,” the party-list said in a statement.
