As a solo artist, J-Hope released his debut mixtape, Hope World, in 2018. He made history as the first BTS member to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist in 2019 with “Chicken Noodle Soup,” featuring Becky G, debuting at No. 81. His debut studio album, Jack in the Box, was released in 2022, followed by his 2023 single “On the Street” featuring J. Cole.

J-Hope recently made headlines for donating 100 million won ($68,000) to families of the victims of the Jeju Air Flight 2216 crash in December 2024, describing it as a “small measure of support.”
