THE Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Los Angeles said its consular operations remain unhampered despite the wildfires.

The PCG issued the advisory Sunday (Monday in Manila) as it visited evacuation centers to check on the condition of Filipino Americans affected by the wildfires in Southern California and nearby areas.

“Clients with confirmed appointments can come to our office as scheduled,” the PCG said in its advisory posted on Facebook.

“Meanwhile, those who are unable to come for their appointments on account of the wildfires can come at a later date when able,” it added.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday extended his “deepest sympathies to all who have been affected by the devastating wildfires in Southern California,” including Filipino Americans.

“May the community’s road to recovery begin with strength, compassion and solidarity. Please stay safe and vigilant,” Marcos posted on social media.

“We pray for everyone affected, especially for the responders who are valiantly battling the blazes,” Carlson wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
