ZAMBOANGA 1st District Rep. Khymer Adan Olaso filed a bill that will impose the penalty of death by firing squad for public officials convicted of graft and corruption.
While the death penalty had been abolished under Republic Act 9346, Olaso said the gravity of corruption cases as a crime against society justifies its reintroduction for specific heinous offenses.
