A fire broke out at a commercial establishment near the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros on Saturday morning.
The fire affected a three-storey building on Beaterio Street at the back of Manila Cathedral, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB by Carlo Mateo.
Thick white smoke could be seen in the area past 8 a.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the second alarm before the fire was placed under control past 9 a.m.
“Sa ngayon ay under control na po tayo as of 0901,” BFP Manila District Fire Marshal Fire Senior Superintendent Aristotle Bañaga said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.
(For now the fire is under control as of 9:01 a.m.)
Bañaga said no one was trapped or got injured in the fire incident. —KG, GMA Integrated News
