A warehouse was hit by fire that reached a second alarm on Saturday morning at Barangay Marcelo Green in Parañaque City.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire broke out at 9:18 a.m. at the warehouse in Ireneville 2 subdivision.
While no one was reported hurt or killed in the incident, the BFP placed damage to property at P17.5 million.
The fire was deemed under control at 10:09 a.m., while fire out was declared at 11:32 a.m.
A total of 64 firetrucks responded to the two alarms hoisted, mostly from fire volunteers or local government units. Seven ambulances were at the scene.
According to a report on Super Radyo dzBB, some firemen stationed their trucks along the Skyway to douse water at the burning warehouse.
Part of West Service Road remained congested as of noon, with firetrucks still parked along the road, the dzBB report said. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
