MANILA, Philippines — Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co stepped down as chairman of the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the majority in Congress for graciously accepting my decision to step down as chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations,” Co said in a statement issued after the position was declared vacant.
