Isolated rain showers will likely continue in some areas due to the northeast monsoon and shear line, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
The northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The convergence of hot and cold air or shear line, meanwhile, will affect Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon where scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms would prevail, Pagasa said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
The same weather system will prevail in Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon where partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated downpours or thunderstorms would be likely, weather specialist Aldzcar Aurelio said.
Today’s temperature will range from 24.6°C to 31.0°C, Pagasa said.
