MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated at least 36.58 kilos of marijuana during a sting in Caloocan City yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, National Capital Region Police Office director, said the illegal drugs, worth P4.45 million, were recovered from two high-value suspects arrested in a subdivision in Barangay 175.
Aberin said the suspects, whom he did not identify, were tagged in intelligence reports as being involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs in Metro Manila.
“These actions form part of a comprehensive strategy to not only disrupt but also completely dismantle the syndicate’s operations, ensuring it can no longer pose a threat to public safety,” Aberin said.
