MANILA, Philippines — Senatorial aspirant lawyer and labor leader Jose Sonny Matula, alongside the Workers’ and Peasants’ Party (WPP), filed a petition with the Supreme Court on Wednesday challenging recent resolutions by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The petition for review sought to overturn rulings dismissing their case against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, whom they accuse of being a nuisance candidate in the 2025 senatorial elections.
