MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Los Angeles offered financial aid and repatriation to Filipinos affected by wildfires in Southern California and nearby areas.

The consulate also extended other assistance to Filipinos impacted by the wildfires such as consular services (passports, travel documents), connecting with families in the Philippines, location of whereabouts, and referral to local social services.

The PCG, on Facebook, said it also partnered with the American Red Cross for access to Filipinos in evacuation centers.

In an advisory, the PCG said it would conduct emergency consular operations on Jan. 18 and 25.

“No appointment [is] needed. Clients will be served on a first-come, first-served basis,” the consulate said.
