THE shear line, the convergence of hot and cold air, will continue to affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon where partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated downpours and thunderstorms will prevail, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.
Another weather system, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Visayas, Mindanao, Romblon, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon and Masbate, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and Ilocos Norte where cloudy skies with rains would prevail, Pagasa forecaster Robert Badrina said.
He said the northeast monsoon would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Ilocos Region.
