The wait is over for fans of the phenomenal Wattpad series “Ang Mutya ng Section E.” The much-anticipated adaptation officially kicked off on Jan. 3, bringing the chaotic yet heartwarming adventures of Section E to life on Viva One. Based on the bestselling three-book series by Lara Flores, also known as Eatmore2behappy, the story has amassed an impressive 348 million reads. Viva One’s adaptation of the first book is set to unfold over 16 episodes.
The excitement surrounding the series began building as early as November 8, with the grand cast reveal generating millions of engagements across social media platforms. Fans praised the adaptation for its stellar casting, which has been widely regarded as one of the best in recent memory.

At the center of the story is Andres Muhlach, who takes on the role of Mark Keifer Watson, the class president of Section E. Keifer, a mischievous yet brilliant troublemaker, finds himself butting heads with Jay-Jay Mariano, played by Ashtine Olviga. Jay-Jay (short for Jasper Jean) is a transfer student at Higher Value International School who, due to her checkered past, ends up in the notorious Section E alongside 16 unruly boys. Despite her promise to her aunt to stay out of trouble, Jay-Jay’s journey will be anything but smooth as she navigates the challenges of self-defense and survival.
Adding depth to the narrative is Rabin Angeles as Yuri Hanamichi, Keifer’s best friend and a JaPinoy from a wealthy family. Yuri’s connection to Jay-Jay’s family and his developing soft spot for her introduce a layer of intrigue and romance.
The cast is rounded out by a host of interesting characters. Andre Yllana plays Aries, Jay-Jay’s estranged cousin, while Heart Ryan portrays Ella, Aries’ girlfriend and a former member of Section E. Axel Torres takes on the role of Angelo, Aries’ older brother and the CEO of Fernandez Corp. Meanwhile, Charles Law stars as Ci-N, a 14-year-old accelerated student who becomes a close ally of Jay-Jay. Completing the mischievous Section E are Frost Sandoval, Kurt Delos Reyes, Ethan David, Keagan De Jesus, Martin Venegas, Nic Galvez, Sam Shoaf, Yanyan De Jesus, Daniel Ong, AJ Ferrer, Michael Keith, Kyosu Guinto, and Derick Ong.
The series also features a mix of rising Viva talents and seasoned actors. Angela Muji, Sarah Joe, Jastine Lim, Rafa Victorino, Alex Payan, Love Yauco, Zeke Polina, and JD Axie add excitement to the story, while industry veterans Yayo Aguila, Katya Santos, Rommel Luna, Lander Vera Perez, and Nanette Inventor bring their expertise to the ensemble.
