President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 25, 2024 conducts an ocular inspection in Valenzuela City and visits the command center as heavy rains induced by a typhoon-enhanced southwest monsoon swamps Metro Manila the day before. The President also distributed government assistance to the flood victims at the Malanday National High School, which currently houses 352 families or an estimated 1,629 individuals. He inspected other evacuation centers to assess government support for the victims and Metro Manila's flood response. He ordered a 'relook' and 'reexamination' of the design of flood control projects since 'the amount of water was not as bad as Ondoy, but the effect was greater than Ondoy.' Before this, Marcos presided over a briefing on the impact of the recent disaster. VIDEO BY MPC
