MANILA, Philippines — Gymnast Carlos Yulo will receive a P3-million incentive from the House of Representatives.
Yulo won gold in the men’s floor exercise in the Olympics in France.
“Caloy has earned this reward through sheer hard work and unmatched talent. This incentive is a testament to our unwavering support for Filipino athletes who strive for greatness on the global stage,” House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez said.
The House will also give Yulo a congressional medal for his achievement.
The House pledged P3 million for gold Olympic medalists, P2 million for silver medalists and P1 million for bronze medalists.
