A fire of unknown origin hit a warehouse in Tondo, Manila on Thursday evening.
According to Jaime Santos’ report in Saksi, firefighters are still attempting to extinguish the blaze in the warehouse located along Guidote Street in the Balut part of Tondo district, with thick smoke coming from the building’s second floor.
The Bureau of Fire Protection raised the first alarm at 8:01 p.m. It was later raised to the second alarm a few minutes afterwards, the report said.
Firefighters had to wear breathing apparatus when they entered the warehouse.
One of the fire volunteers said that there was zero-visibility inside the burning structure.
Meanwhile, some electric tools were found inside the premises.
