Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. met with United States Congressional Delegation (CODEL) members on Saturday and discussed the Philippines-US strategic relationship and security alliance.

According to the United States Embassy in the Philippines, Teodoro met with Representative Michael T. McCaul  (Republican-Texas) and Representative Addison Graves Wilson (Republican-2nd  district of South Carolina).

McCaul is the chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and chairman emeritus of the House Committee on Homeland  Security. Wilson is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

President Ferdinand  “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. also met with the US congressmen on Friday and thanked them for their support and partnership amid “new challenges” in the region.

McCaul assured Marcos that their Foreign Military Financing (FMF) included the Philippines. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
