When PLEDIS Entertainment announced on Monday, Aug. 12, that Seventeen members Jeonghan and Jun are set to miss the group’s activities—including the world tour and promotions—many fans took to their social media accounts to express their sadness.
“We would like to provide information regarding SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Jun’s activities in the second half of 2024,” the post read.
Both members will be absent from the group’s “Seventeen Right Here World Tour,” which is set to begin in October 2024. The tour will include stops in South Korea, Japan, the United States, and other locations in Asia.
Seventeen leader S.Coups then stepped up to comfort fans during a period of transition for the beloved K-pop group.
With Jeonghan enlisting for mandatory military service and Jun focusing on his acting career in China, the group is undergoing significant changes. However, S.Coups has assured fans that Seventeen will continue to shine.
“13~~~ [heart emoji],” wrote S.Coups, signifying the number of Seventeen members.
On the other hand, Jun posted on the fan community platform Weverse to reassure fans that he will try to finish his schedule so he can return to the group.
“It’s a shame that we need to inform Carats of this situation, but I will always work hard to complete any schedule. I hope I can bring an even better project to everyone in the future. Please take care of your health, everyone. I will work hard to finish it and quickly return~~ Love you guys,” he wrote.
Members then expressed their support for Jun.
