Lieutenant Commander Alvin John Gador assumed command of the 900th Air Force Weather Group (AFWG), succeeding Colonel Alfredo Antonio who relinquished his responsibilities as Group Commander on Wednesday.
The Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force, Major General Augustine Malinit witnessed this significant leadership change during a ceremony.
He commended the Group’s accomplishments, including their cloud seeding operations, which successfully completed 100 sorties and dispersed over 30,000 kilograms of sodium chloride across various regions.
Colonel Antonio will take on the role as Chief of the Office of the Air Force Chief of Engineers, while Lieutenant Commander Gador previously served as Group Commander of Tactical Operations Group 12.
The 900th AFWG assured it will continue to deliver accurate and timely weather data to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
