MANILA, Philippines — A bettor from Cagayan won the P16.8-million Megalotto 6/45 prize on Friday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.
The PCSO said the winner guessed the six-digit winning combination 26-05-36-21-29-45, which carried a jackpot prize of P16,881,251.80.
The winner bought the ticket at a lotto outlet in Tuao town in Cagayan province.
Aside from the lone jackpot winner, the PCSO said 13 bettors won P32,000 each for guessing five of the six-digit winning combination while 831 others won P1,000 each for guessing four winning numbers.
Meanwhile, no bettor guessed the Ultralotto 6/58 winning combination 27-51-50-04-22-41, which carried a prize of P91,221,113.
The PCSO said three bettors won P120,000 each for guessing five of the six-digit combination and 324 others won P2,000 each for correctly guessing four winning numbers.
Lotto winnings of more than P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law.
