Chery Tiggo became the latest team to advance to the quarterfinals after breezing past ZUS Coffee, 25-18, 25-18, 25-19, in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Crossovers, who were coming off a tough five-set defeat against Choco Mucho last Tuesday, improved to 5-2 and joined other QF-bound teams Akari, Cignal, and PLDT while ZUS Coffee continued its slump as it dropped to a 0-7 win-loss card.

Khat Bell took charge with a game-high 28 points anchored on 24 attacks and four blocks together with seven receptions while lefty Mylene Paat chipped in 11 markers to lead the local support.

Meanwhile, both Creamline and Petro Gazz snatched key victories to bolster their quarterfinal hopes.

The Cool Smashers struggled to close it out in the marathon third set, but still completed a sweep of their sister team Choco Mucho, 25-16, 25-19, 31-29, to hike their standing to 5-2.

Despite the absence of its stars, Creamline was just as formidable with reinforcement Erica Staunton leading the way with 19 points while Bernadeth Pons and Michele Gumabao churned out 12 and 11 markers apiece.

In the second game, Petro Gazz extended its winning streak to three after outlasting PLDT in a thriller, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 16-14, behind a 40-point outburst from Wilma Salas.
