The National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Kalinga seized P15.4 Million worth of marijuana in a joint operation in Kalinga.
According to a Tuesday statement, the joint operation conducted by the PDEA and the NBI took place on August 16 at two fully-grown marijuana plantation sites spanning 15,400 square meters.
“The marijuana plants were uprooted, photographed, inventoried, and burned on-site by the joint operatives,” the statement read.
The NBI will continue with the investigation to catch the owners and cultivators of the plantation. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
