The NMP Modernization Plan is aligned with the DMW’s goal of empowering and protecting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

It also responds to the call of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for increased collaboration between government agencies and private stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of skilled workers for the shipping industry.

The plan reflects NMP’s commitment to advancing maritime education and training under the leadership of its Executive Director Victor del Rosario.
