MANILA, Philippines — A lone bettor from Laguna province won the P9-million prize in the Lotto 6/42 draw on Thursday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.
The PCSO said the bettor, who bought the ticket at a lotto outlet in Calamba City, guessed the winning six-digit combination of 6-24-25-28-2-16, which carried a prize of P9,045,796.60.
Aside from the lone jackpot winner, the PCSO said 53 other bettors won P24,000 each for guessing five of the six-digit combination while 1,928 others won P800 each for guessing four winning numbers.
Lotto winnings of more than P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law or TRAIN Law.
